Basic adhesive
An adhesive is made out of different commodities. Thesecommodities are the basis for the tacking (=adhesion) and
its proper stability (=cohesion).
These essential commodities and their mixture define the
different using and application properties.
Commodities
1. synthetic Polymers
eg. PCR, SBS, TPU -
-> do influence adhesion and cohesion
2. synthetic and/or modified natural resins
-> do influence tacking/adhesion
3. Additivs
eg. softener, ageing inhibition, colours
4. Solvents
eg. petrol, aceton, water, heat/temperature
